I’m a quote collector and I LOVE your quotes. There are so many gems, but the top of the list is, “I take the same picture twice. First with my heart then camera.” I love taking photos. And having an iPhone makes picture taking so much easier. The issue can at times be that be if the picture-taking interrupts the actual enjoyment of experiencing. At times that might be true and when that happens, I usually opt to experience and not document. But most of the time, I’m able to do both- enjoy or sense what is around me and also have the presence of mind to stop to capture it.
Wow, so many great quotes! You’ve really got me thinking about photographs this morning:) I think the one from Eudora Welty is my favorite… keeping the moment from running away. I see what a treasure photographs can be for those whose memories are failing. I agree with Linda that I don’t want to “miss the moment” in order to capture the photo, but I know some people who really enjoy the moment more when they are photographing it. I’m lucky that my new son-in-law loves photography. Now I’ve sort of “outsourced” recording family memories to him:)
These are all great quotes that show the importance of photography and preseverving and organizing the photos that you take! I especially like the quote “We take photos as a return ticket to a moment otherwise gone”.
I can’t pick just one. I have at least 5 favorites in this batch! But I also like another one, by YOU, Andi:
“Photos give us the power to love people from our past, our present, and our future.”

Some of these quotes are GREAT. Thanks for sharing. Several bring up memories for me and how precious capturing a moment in a photo can be.
