How can a professional photo organizer help me?

If you have a shoebox full of old prints, a phone with thousands of unsorted photos, or a pile of videotapes that haven't been watched in decades, we can help.

Here's what working with us looks like:

We assess what you have and help you figure out where to begin.
We take over the projects that feel too big or too overwhelming to tackle on your own, or the small ones that you just need to get done.
We digitize and back up your lifetime collection of photos, slides, and home movies.
We help you get unstuck on that project you've already started but can't seem to finish.
We turn your memories into something you can actually share, enjoy, and pass down.

We offer a full range of photo preservation and organizing services, including:

Legacy Collections — bringing together a multi-generational Legacy Collection — scanning, organizing, and digitizing everything from your parents' printed photos to your own digital library into one unified archive your whole family can access and enjoy
Digital Photo Organizing — sorting, deduplicating, and organizing your digital collection by date, delivered on a USB drive with an optional private family website
Print Photo Organizing — sorting and labeling your printed photos, with optional archival storage supplies
Photo & Slide Scanning — scanning printed photos, slides, negatives, and albums in our office (we never mail your originals away)
Video Conversion — transferring VHS, 8mm, Hi8, MiniDV, film reels, and other formats to digital before they degrade further
Personal Photo Coaching — one-on-one sessions to help you tackle your own photo organizing with expert guidance

How much does it cost?

Every project is different, so pricing varies.

Here's a general overview:

Digital Photo Organizing starts at $3,000 flat for up to 300,000 photos and videos (Phase 1: PRESERVE). Additional phases — CHERISH and CELEBRATE — are quoted after the initial phase is complete.
Print Photo Organizing is quoted after a full inventory of your collection.
Photo & Slide Scanning is priced per item — starting at $1 per standard photo or slide.
Video Conversion is priced per tape, disc, or reel.
Personal Photo Coaching is $125 per session.
Legacy Collection projects are evaluated and quoted on a case-by-case basis.

We specialize in "estate transitions" and large-scale family archives. You don’t need to sort or organize anything before talking to us.

Our Family Legacy Collection process begins with a free consultation to discuss what you have—from those "mystery boxes" in the attic to old film reels—and create a professional roadmap to preserve it all.

We handle the heavy lifting so you can simply enjoy the memories.

What if I have photos, slides, videos, and documents from multiple generations — not just my own?

That is exactly why we created our Family Legacy Collections service. When a family’s history is spread across multiple formats and decades—think printed photos, old slides, home movies, and handwritten letters—it requires more than just basic scanning.

We bring these disconnected pieces together into one organized, searchable archive that tells your family’s complete story. It’s the "master plan" for your history.

What does the Digital Photo Organizing process look like?

We work in three phases, and you're in control of how far you want to go:

Phase 1: PRESERVE — We gather all your digital photos and videos from every device and source, remove duplicates, organize everything chronologically, and deliver your complete collection on a USB drive. ($3,000 flat fee)
Phase 2: CHERISH — We do a deeper review of your organized collection — adding dates, keywords, and meaningful file names. Quoted individually after Phase 1 ($100/hr).
Phase 3: CELEBRATE — We build you a beautiful, private SmugMug family website where your photos are easy to find and share. Optional but loved by clients who want their memories accessible anytime. ($500 setup + ~$150/yr)

You can stop after any phase. Each one builds on the last, and you only move forward when you're ready.

How does print photo organizing work?

We start with a discovery call to get a sense of your collection. Once your photos are delivered to us, we conduct a full inventory — then provide you with a comprehensive estimate before any work begins. You review and approve, and only then do we start organizing.

We sort your prints chronologically and by event, label them, and can even supply acid-free archival boxes, sleeves, and albums to keep everything protected for generations to come.
