I love the quotes and beautiful pictures. In my work, I see a lot of families that very late in life discover the significance of family. They go through a lot of heartaches to learn how to appreciate each other, eventually.
So many terrific thoughts on family here! I am blessed to have a loving family, and am doing my best to support and bless my children as they launch and form their own families. We truly are interconnected, and as I age I recognize so much of my parents in myself. You can’t truly separate from your family, even if you strike your own path. I know some have difficult family pasts, but there are blessings in almost every situation that are worth acknowledging and embracing. Smiling for all the families who are getting to spend a bit more time together these days!!
What a wonderful selection of quotes about family. I’m a quote collector and adore family, so I especially appreciated the collection you put together. Ahhh. To chose my favorite? That’s a tall order, but here you go….”There are only two lasting bequests we can give our children- one is roots, and the other, wings.” The other one that resonates with me 100% is, “Family is not an important thing, it is everything.”
These are all lovely, Andi! My favorite is, “You live as long as you are remembered.” But I also have an affinity for “If you cannot get rid of the family skeleton, you may as well make it dance!”
I love the skeleton quote, and don’t shy away from scandals and mysteries! And I paused when I read, “I am my ancestors’ wildest dreams.” Am I? Hmmm….something to think about. I can relate (pun intended) to all of them. Thanks, Andi!

My favorite quote is “I am my ancestors’ wildest dreams. ~ Unknown”. How true is this?
