Lucky 13: Good Life Photo Solutions Celebrates 13 Years of Preserving Memories

Good Life Photo Solutions, providing high-level photo organizing and scanning services, celebrates its 13th anniversary

2023 marks a significant milestone for me. This year I am celebrating 13 years in business!

How did that happen?! It seems like just yesterday that I was telling my husband about this idea that I had to start a business that helped people become more organized, and in a blink of an eye, it’s 13 years later.

Personal Photo Organizer Andi Willis of Good Life Photo Solutions

In 2010 I started a residential organizing business called Good Life Organizing. The name came from an inside joke with my girlfriends. We wanted to be the “Livinggoods”, a name we saw on a road sign, because we wanted to live the good life. My original business goal was to help people live THEIR good life through more comfortable surroundings.

A few years later, at an organizing conference, I met Cathi Nelson, the founder of the Association of Personal Photo Organizers (now The Photo Managers), and learned about photo organizing as a service.

That’s a thing? Do you mean people will pay me to organize their photos? Really? I was hooked.

All my life, I have been the person interested in family history. I have been the collector of the photographs and the arranger of the group photos at family reunions. Combining my love for family photos with my organizing skills was my sweet spot!

Good Life Photo Solutions offers customized digital photo organizing

For several years I did residential and photo organizing, but in 2018, I decided to hang up my closet and kitchen organizing hat to focus solely on photos, and I haven’t looked back! And that’s when Good Life Photo Solutions was born. Now I was helping clients organize and preserve the photos and memories of their Good Life.

Over the past 13 years, I have met so many great people and worked on tremendously interesting projects.

  • I have handled over 1.6 million photos and videos for clients.
  • I worked on the TV show Hoarders twice.
  • I created a birthday video for a prominent member of our country’s government.
  • I have scanned photos from pre-Communist China and the interment of the unknown soldier.
  • I created a photo book based on the career of a woman who worked on every Space Shuttle mission.
  • I have scanned personal photos that included snapshots of John Denver, Henry Winkler, every president since Jimmy Carter, Oprah, and even Elmo.

I love my job.

I love getting to know my clients’ families through their photos and videos.

I love preserving their family legacy and memories.

I love hearing the stories behind the photos.

I love making my clients cry when presented with the photo book we’ve worked on for months.

I love bringing back memories through newly scanned slides that haven’t been viewed in decades.

I love my clients who entrust me with their precious memories, month after month, project after project.

I love what I do.

So thank you, dear follower, for going on this adventure with me. Your support and encouragement have been vital to my success.

Here’s to many more anniversaries and many more memories!

Congratulations, Andi, on reaching this significant milestone! I loved reading your story of how your business came to be and the way you evolved it over the years. I feel fortunate to know you and refer clients who need your specific, incredible photo-organizing skills. One of the things I appreciate most about you is your LOVE of organizing photos and preserving/honoring someone’s history.

Wishing you continued success in the years ahead!

Thank you so much, Linda! Your referrals mean the world to me. I was working with one the other day and she said, “I’m doing X because that’s what Linda told me to do!”

Congratulations on your anniversary! I used to organize photos and videos and scan/convert the footage for several clients. It is delightful, and I can see why you love it so much. Thank you for sharing! I will keep you in mind when future clients seek this service. =)

I love your new video, Andi! You are one of those organizers who, when I hear how long they’ve been in business, I think: Only 13? Really? You are one of my go-to digital photo organizers for referrals, and I’m happy to know you!

Andi, I remember when we worked on the Atlanta Hoarding Task Force together. You were just staring out. Those were the days… Congratulations on reaching this milestone. I can hear (in what you wrote) the passion you have for organizing photos and I loved reading about some of the great projects you have completed. I wish you many more years of continued success and will send you referrals as I received them.

Oh, Andi, I’m so proud of — and delighted for — you. I remember when you started at NAPO-GA, and you’ve found your perfect niche. Your business is a bat mitzvah girl! 😉 You’ve achieved so much for yourself and your clients, and I always find the information you share to be useful and compelling. May you have many, many more years of joy and prosperity in your business. Sending you hugs!
