Estate Services For Family Photo Collections
When a family loses someone, the photos and videos are often the last thing anyone has a plan for.
Good Life Photo Solutions helps estate attorneys and planners bring calm, professional resolution to one of the most emotionally complicated parts of any estate — the family photo and video collection.
Every estate has one.
A closet full of albums. Boxes of prints. Home movies on formats no one can play anymore. These inherited photo collections are irreplaceable, non-titled, and impossible to divide fairly — and they have a way of becoming the last thing holding an estate together.
Heirs disagree over who keeps the originals. Family members in different cities can't share a single album. What starts as a sentimental question quietly stalls final distribution.
It doesn’t have to.
A Trusted Professional, Ready When You Need One
Good Life Photo Solutions is a photo organizing and preservation service based in Smithfield, Virginia. Founder and owner Andi Willis is a Certified Professional Photo Organizer with over 15 years of experience working with families across the country — and right here in the Tidewater area.
Andi grew up in Franklin, VA, attended the College of William and Mary, built her career serving families across the country, and has come home to Hampton Roads. When it comes to estate photo organizing, she steps in as a calm, experienced professional who understands both the emotional weight of the work and the practical needs of families navigating a loss.
All work is handled in-house at the GLPS office in Smithfield, Virginia. The only exception is film reels and unusual film formats, which are handled by a trusted, local partner. Clients across the country ship their collections directly to the GLPS office and receive them back carefully preserved.
A Clear Process. A Resolved Collection.

Assessment & Estimate
After a contract is signed and a retainer is paid, we arrange safe pickup or delivery of the collection. We then assess the scope of the collection and provide a written estimate for the entire project— a clear line item ready for estate budgeting and planning purposes.
In-House Digitization & Organization
All originals are handled with care at our Smithfield, VA office., with the exception for film reels and unusual film formats which are handled by a local, trusted partner. We digitize, organize, and archive the entire collection — photos, slides, negatives, albums, and home movies.
Delivery to Every Heir
Each family member receives a complete, identical digital archive. The originals are returned properly preserved. The impasse resolves. The estate moves forward.
One Original. Every Heir Gets a Copy.
One original collection becomes something every heir can have. Instead of one sibling keeping the albums while others get nothing, every family member walks away with a complete digital copy of their family’s history — organized, labeled, and easy to navigate for generations to come.
We handle collections of every size — from a single shoebox to a lifetime of albums. Clients across the country deliver their collections to our Smithfield office and receive them back carefully rehoused and preserved.
Not Every Referral Starts With a Loss.
For clients who are still in the planning stages — downsizing, preparing a legacy gift, or simply ready to finally tackle a lifetime of photos — Good Life Photo Solutions offers Family Legacy Collection services. We work directly with clients to preserve, organize, and share their photos and memories while they’re still here to tell the stories behind them.
If you have clients in their 50s, 60s, or beyond who mention their photos as something they’ve always meant to deal with, this is the conversation to start. We make it easy.
